While many of us here in Edmonton are busy getting ready for the Holidays, Dr. Ashwani Singh is busy in India helping children and their families get ready for life.

For the past few weeks, Dr. Singh has been donating his expertise to treat patients in India for procedures they could not otherwise afford. Fractures, eye injuries, lacerations, infectious diseases etc. as well as setting up an immunization program for the children.

Currently there is a dairy farm being built to eventually use profits from the sale of dairy products to hopefully make this a self-sufficient project one day.

YOU CAN HELPProceeds from Sale of the CosMedics Skin Care line funds a lunch program for 300 children EVERY DAY for the last 4 years.  For many, this is their only meal of the day and provided motivation for parents to send their children to school.

CosMedics is one of the largest contributors to the charity “Society for the Development in the 3rd World” through a trust with matching grants from the Province of Alberta and Government of Canada. This charity pays each child a stipend daily to attend the school, covers costs of books and uniforms, without this most of the children would not attend school.

The school and the dairy are the largest employers in the Village that Dr. Singh and his family have been working with for the past several years.
