Aziz Merchant, practices homeopathy at our Edmonton clinic, completed his degree in Homeopathy in 2006, at the end of a 5 1/2 year program which included a 1 year clinical internship. His thesis on Homeopathic Management of Post Myocardial Infarction patients was considered a commendable work and was selected as an approved topic by the Interpathy Research Cell of Maharashtra University of Health Sciences.
In 2006, he went on to pursue advanced Homeopathy from Bombay, where he had the opportunity to apprentice with some of the best Homeopaths in India, and gained intensive clinical experience in treating chronic, debilitating illnesses, as well as acute diseases. He also lectured at the postgraduate research institute for 3 years, teaching Anatomy and Pathology.
He brings to the Canadian Homeopathic scene a fresh perspective that emphasizes the genetic constitutional make up of the patient, and places importance on embryology and genetics in studying the disease pattern of each case, since no two diseased individuals have similar symptoms and aetiologies. This enables him to give consistent results in even serious pathological cases.
