Focused ultrasound, no surgery
What is Ultherapy?
Ultherapy uses ultrasound energy to stimulate collagen production and elastic tissue in both skin and underlying muscle. This results in firmer skin, tighter muscle tissue and fewer wrinkles.
What can Ultherapy treat?
Ultherapy is used to address the following:
- Sagging eyebrow tissue
- Saggy skin under the chin
- Loose skin in the dcolletage (chest area).
How does the Ultherapy treatment work?
An ultrasound gel will be placed on the treatment applicator against your cleansed skin. Our professional will use Ultherapys ultrasound imaging to determine optimal placement of the treatment energy. Once achieved, they will deliver the focused ultrasound energy beneath the skins surface.
You may experience tiny amounts of energy being deposited to precise depths, indicating that the collagen-building process has been initiated. Comfort levels can vary from person to person, but the sensation only lasts while the energy is being delivered, and every effort is made to make you feel comfortable throughout the process.
The duration of your procedure will depend on the area being treated, but a typical face and neck treatment will take approximately 60-90 minutes, while a chest treatment may take approximately 30-45 minutes.
Ultherapy before and after care
How to prepare for Ultherapy
During your initial treatment consultation, our physician and aesthetician will assess your skin, address your treatment goals, and determine if you are a candidate for the Ultherapy treatment.
To enhance your comfort, Dr. Singh may recommend that you take an over-the-counter analgesic or prescribed medication before the treatment.
After treatment care
You may experience some redness to the treated area; however, this should subside within a few hours. Slight swelling, tingling or tenderness may occur. These sensations are normal and temporary in nature.
Other, less common, effects may include temporary bruising or numbness.
Following the Ultherapy procedure you may return to your normal activities without any post-treatment restrictions.
Ultherapy risks and common side effects
There may be slight redness that typically resolves within a few hours following the treatment. Some patients may have slight swelling, tingling or tenderness to the touch, but these are mild and temporary in nature.
